To
the Niagara Community,
In
1998, Br. Bill Carrothers, C.F.C., and Sr. Jackie Keefe, C.S.S.F.,
moved Jericho House to the Diocese of St. Catharines at my invitation.
They have continued to share their expertise and experience in providing
retreats and youth leadership programs in our Niagara community.
The
students and staff of the Niagara Catholic District School Board
are familiar with this expertise in programs such as the Torch Leadership
program in the Secondary Schools. and the SCOEP programs in elementary.
Recently,
Jericho House purchased 17 acres of property in Wainfleet to establish
a permanent site for their retreat programs. Located adjacent to
the Niagara Conservation Authority, the future site of Jericho House
will provide a beautiful rural setting for the participants in which
to reflect and dialogue.
At
this point, ‘Jericho House’ is a vision, a vision that
needs your support to become to reality.
Jericho
House is launching a fund raising campaign to fulfill this vision
and I am pleased to recommend their appeal.
It
is with the greatest pleasure that I extend my greetings and support
to the future development of Jericho House.
